Booking Options
Every circus needs the StrongMx! Whether your production is a small town variety show, an exciting festival, or a big-ticket expo Rick StrongBack is here to be your Muscle for Hire!
Set options range from short 5-minute filler sets, to the standard 10-20 minute full Strength Performances, to long-form interactive sets. Collaborative sets with performers playing off one another is negotiable. Crowd work and audience participation is also an option.
Available for Shows, Festivals, and Expos within 300-miles of Franklin, NC (travel outside this range may be negotiated). Available for all-ages events and +18 events. Performances are customized for your event's theme.

Rates are based off of performance style, number and duration of sets, and travel ranges. Due to the unique nature of each show, as well as the cost of materials and travel expenses, there is a minimum rate to book shows. Contact us for an estimate and to book your event.
Who is Rick StrongBack?
Rick StrongBack is The Appalachian Circus StrongThem, a sideshow performer specializing in oldetime strongman feats of strength & durability! Rick has honed their skills on stage as a Strength Performer for since 2010, performing in front of crowds ranging from intimate private shows all the way up to festivals with hundreds in the audience. Rick also has built a large following online through online performances, with 240k followers on TikTok and 153k followers on Instagram.
Outside of their avid fascination (or AuDHD hyperfocus) of Physical Culture, they are a TransQueer activist, Mutual-Aid Organizer, Illustrator, and co-owner of the Archives of the Strange & Unusual Art Gallery & Curiosities Shop in Franklin, NC.
